Monthly Pub Lunch

The Cambridge Society of Toronto

Mark your calendars at lunchtime for the first Wednesday of every month. Cambridge Society members get together for an informal pub lunch and good conversation at the Rebel House Pub at 1068 Yonge St.  Just across the way from Rosedale Subway (good to know if you're in a hurry), the Rebel House is named for the 1837 Upper Canada Rebellion, which was fought in this very area.

As a tribute to its historical connections, the Rebel House serves only Ontario brews (ok, Guinness too), and a selection of Ontario wines, along with Canadian-themed dishes (including a great poutine). The regular Cambridge group is now such a feature of the pub that we even have our own addition to the menu – The Cambridge Muffin, a delicious concoction of smoked salmon and egg mayonnaise on an “English muffin”.

Everyone is welcome – just turn up at the Rebel House on the first Wednesday of the month at 12.00 noon and join us in the upstairs lounge.
